Happy New Year :)

Back to the summer of 2018 again and I will eventually catch up with blogging! I was second shooting once again for Dave Nunn Photography and once again we were back at the lovely, French Chic looking Cockcliffe House Hotel in Noittinghamshire. It’s such a unique looking venue and since the last visit that had done so much particularly adding on the stone Ceremony room. It’s light and airy with a chic barn look and I love venues like this.

The day began with the finishing touches to the bridal prep before catching up with the groom and wedding guests. The day itself was full of giggles and much laughter. The bride’s father’s speech was great making reference to one of the greatest kids comic books of the 80’s, The Beano, thus embarrassing the bride with comical stories of her earlier years and her love for The Beano! It was a truly wonderful day to share with the happy couple and document it through my eyes. I love second shooting.

After photos, it was time for some chill time. There was no first dance, as not everyone likes to draw attention to themselves. Instead the couple had opted for a Casino and games. Everyone loved the shear relaxed nature of the day and to be honest that’s what weddings should be about. Sharing the love, the giggles, reminiscing over old times, remembering those that were no longer around and the simple enjoyment of being with family and close friends.
