Nottinghamshire Marquee Wedding - Nottingham Wedding Photography

Where has the month gone? I can’t believe it’s almost Christmas and I’m so far behind on blogging! It’s been a busy 12 months or so… Yes I’m still blogging weddings from last year - oops!

I was seconding for my friend Christina Michelle Photography for this particular wedding. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love horses, dogs and them being at weddings, it’s a win win for me and was the perfect wedding. I really enjoyed documenting the wedding day through my eyes. I even walked from the yard to the village church some 1.5 miles away. It was a beautiful sunny day and I enjoyed sauntering along listening to the birds sing and simply having a nice relaxed walk before catching up with the guest arrivals.

So the ceremony was held in the village church of Blidworth just outside Nottingham, with the party held in a marquee on the brides land where she keeps her horses. It was such a fabulous day and meeting one (on looks alone) a little grumpy Arab mare (who was actually a darling, just didn’t like popping her ears forward) who loved fuss but not being the centre of attention. What was also lovely was the time and effort gone into making the marquee personal to the couple. Not only that, the bride’s friend had plaited her horse’s mane adding ribbons and keeping her clean for photos. Such a lovely thing to do before getting ready herself. Us horsey folk seemingly always put our horses first before making ourselves presentable hehe!

It was a beautiful and don’t forget to check out the car… yes the Defender is ace but no it’s the classic Jaguar! Just gorgeous.
